In December 2015, New York magazine
ran an article by journalist Jessica
Pressler entitled The Hustlers at Scores,
which exposed – in a non-sensational manner
– the alleged true story of a group of female
strip club workers who stole from their wealthy
clients (using a combination of their wits,
charm and drugs) to boost their own incomes.
Four years on, this modern-day Robin Hood
tale – as the piece was promoted by thecut.com
– is now a major motion picture with an all-
star female cast that includes Julia Stiles,
Madeline Brewer, Constance Wu and Jennifer
Lopez. And what an enthralling retelling it is! In this follow-up to the 2017 smash-hit
(which slayed all expectations to take
a phenomenal $700 million at the
worldwide box office), the ‘Losers Club’ – Bill,
Beverly, Ben, Richie, Mike, Eddie and Stan
– have all grown up and gone their separate
ways. But when evil returns to their hometown
of Derry, Maine, the gang are collectively
drawn back to finish ‘It’ once and for all.
With writer Gary Dauberman confirming that
this sequel is “bloodier and just as scary, if not
