MUST-SEE OF THE MONTH Downton Abbey TBC You are cordially invited to a royal rendezvous well worthy of the big screen DIRECTOR Michael Engler starring Matthew Goode, allen leech, Maggie Smith Following a four-year absence, Downton Abbey is opening its elegant, oversized front doors once more. But, this time, instead of watching on your living room telly, you can gasp and gawp at the perfectly pronounced goings-on of the Crawley family, and their many, many servants, on a huge cinema screen. That’s right, Downtonians (or do you prefer Abbey Heads?), your favourite buttoned-up British period drama is coming to an ODEON near you, and it has a plot well worthy of the extra inches and running time. In this thrilling, funny encounter, the King and Queen of England have invited themselves for tea. Cue an almighty tizzy – upstairs and down – not seen at Downton since poor Edith (Laura Carmichael) was jilted at the altar in season three. Anticipation is such, in fact, that Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) has to persuade butler Carson (Jim Carter, pictured) to come out of retirement. Heady times indeed! With creator Julian Fellowes on script duties, and all your old favourites returning, from Maggie Smith as the irrepressible Dowager Countess to Allen Leech as Tom Branson (is a new romance on the cards for Tom?), this is a fitting finale to the beloved series. Downton, how we’ve missed you. 13 SEP MOV IE M ATHEM ATICS + Downstairs + Upstairs + Relationships Royalty = Downton Abbey Watch the trailer or when accompanied by an adult 15 Suitable for ages 15+ 18 Adults only odeon.co.uk 5
