In honour of the voracious Violet’s return this September in the Downton Abbey movie, we thought we’d share this wonderful picture of the great Dame being honoured. This particular gong, a BAFTA, was awarded to Smith at the ODEON Leicester Square in the year 2000 for her best supporting turn in 1999’s Tea with Mussolini.
