The 22nd movie in
the MCU is perhaps
the studio’s most
anticipated – and no wonder.
When we last saw our heroes
in 2018’s Infinity War, half
of them were turning to ash,
courtesy of Mad Titan Thanos’
population-decimating finger
snap (see box for a full list
of those no longer with us).
If you’ve seen the trailers,
you’ll know that life is still
incredibly bleak at the start of
this fourth chapter: the dead
are still dead, Tony Stark (aka
Iron Man) is floating through
space with no food, no water
and no seeming hope of rescue,
and the surviving Earth-based
WAR DEAD?

Avengers – Black Widow,

– are broken versions of
themselves. Thankfully, hope
arrives in the form of the MIA
Ant-Man, whose knowledge of
the Quantum Realm – may,
just may – help our remaining
heroes find a way to defeat
Thanos once and for all.
Everyone’s assuming
Endgame will have a happy
ending, but directors Anthony
and Joe Russo have never
been ones to play by the rules
(they certainly didn’t with
Infinity War). Our advice?
Expect the unexpected, while
keeping a tight hold of your
seat – this is set to be the roller-
coaster ride to end them all.
