For centuries, the world’s greatest
scientific minds have pondered the
existence of a mysterious creature
that sits halfway between monkey and man
on the evolutionary chain. Now, in this much-
anticipated, stop-motion animation, gentleman
adventurer Sir Lionel Frost (Hugh Jackman) is
determined to find the so-called ‘missing link’ – if
only to stop the teasing from his fellow explorers.
All Frost has to do is travel across land
and sea to the Pacific Northwest, beat
a path through treacherous jungle,
disturb an unpredictable wild beast
that has never seen humankind before
and reunite the monster (who’s actually
very nice really) with his own kind on
the other side of the globe. So it’s a good
thing he has a little help from Adelina
Fortnight (Zoe Saldana): a plucky fellow
adventurer who might just stop the mission
going off the map. Laugh-out-loud funny –
the trio’s chaotic journey takes in ripped
trousers, smashed windows and even a spot
of dinosaur-surfing – and boasting an A-list
voice cast that also includes Emma Thompson,
Stephen Fry, Matt Lucas and David Walliams,
Missing Link is the best thing to happen to
