TBC Three’s a crowd in this on-song romantic comedy DIRECTOR Jesse Peretz starring Rose Byrne, Ethan Hawke, Chris O’Dowd If quirky rom-coms are your cup of tea, then make a date with Juliet, Naked. Based on Nick Hornby’s bestseller, it sees Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids) playing “a nice English lady in a sensible cardigan”. Byrne’s Annie is in a relationship with Chris O’Dowd’s Duncan, a likeable loser obsessed with little-known rocker Tucker Crowe (Ethan Hawke). When Annie and Tucker inadvertently cross paths, a sweetly amusing love triangle develops. 2 NOV Overlord Widows 18 TBC WW2-set horror with action and gore galore! Four women refuse to accept their cruel fate DIRECTOR Julius Avery starring John Magaro, Wyatt Russell, Pilou Asbæk DIRECTOR STEVE MCQUEEN starring Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki Not, as initially rumoured, the fourth movie in J.J. Abrams’ Cloverfield universe, but rather a gory actioner about two US paratroopers who are dropped behind enemy lines on the eve of D-Day. They find themselves in a Nazi-occupied village, but it isn’t only Hitler’s troops they have to worry about… there are also zombified super-soldiers on the loose, the result of the Germans’ sinister supernatural experiments. Trust us when we say that you’ll leave with your heart pounding and your nails bitten to the quick. Director Steve McQueen follows up his sensational 12 Years a Slave with this superb crime thriller. Scripted by McQueen and Gillian Flynn (writer of Gone Girl and the recent TV sensation Sharp Objects), it’s set in modern-day Chicago and tells the story of a group of grieving widows whose husbands’ illegal deeds have left them wanted women. Instead of meekly surrendering, however, they decide to fight back. 7 NOV 6 NOV Meet the widows on p16 Creed II TBC A name from Rocky’s past causes problems for Adonis DIRECTOR Steven Caple Jr. starring Michael B.
