In the Harry Potter films,
crinkly-eyed Albus was
the wisest of wise wizards
– and the headmaster we
all wish we’d had. He’s
looking a lot more fresh-
faced in Fantastic Beasts:
The Crimes of Grindelwald,
not the result of a clever
spell, but rather the undoing
of time (the action is set 70
years prior). It’s great to see
the return of such a beloved
figure, but we do have some
questions, such as when
did his bad luck with Every
Flavour Beans start, and
why does he make Newt
face Gellert rather than
taking him on himself?
See Fantastic Beasts: The
Crimes of Grindelwald
from Friday 16 November
world order, one in which
wizards and witches
rule over no-maj beings.
As the community
becomes increasingly
divided, Professor
Jude Law takes over
as Dumbledore in
Fantastic Beasts 2
Albus Dumbledore (now
played by Jude Law)
enlists the help of his
former student, Newt
Scamander, to thwart
Grindelwald’s evil plans.
Meanwhile, Newt’s friend Tina
Goldstein is also Paris-bound, on
an unauthorised mission to find
Credence Barebone, whose
Obscurus powers threaten to
overcome him... and the world.
