MEET PHOEBE Hi my name is Phoebe Sartori, I am a musician, a swordswomen, a student, and currently, the Suncoast Lieutenant Governor. As a student at New College of Florida I have had the opportunity to participate with CKI and I would probably have to say that CKI is, so far, the favorite part of my college experience! It gives me the opportunity for three great activities, which I look forward to throughout the year; fellowship, service and leadership. That being said, my favorite of those activities is fellowship. Fellowship is probably, my favorite tenant of CKI, because it is the most fun, and I’ve made some awesome friends. I can’t wait to make some more in this upcoming year! Even though I have said that fellowship is my favorite tenant, service has been a passion and an essential part of who I am. Service is probably, for me, the most important tenant. These two tenants (service and fellowship) eventually converge into leadership. This leads me to my next point, why I decided to run for Lieutenant Governor. Well, I decided to run for this position because it gave me a great opportunity to expand my passion for service and fellowship within CKI with people in my area. My area of the state is a “growing” region. I care deeply about CKI, and I wanted the opportunity to help new schools. I think many schools probably share some of the same issues I had experienced within my small CKI club, and I think I can help them. So, I guess you could say that I combined all the tenants of our organization in my passion for CKI. This is getting kind of long, so I guess I’ll end with a couple things that I like to outside of Circle K. So, when I’m not driving, doing service, or writing endless amounts of emails for CKI; there’s a couple ways that I like to spend my free time. First is I am a musician. I love playing my guitar, singing, and writing music. In the past I have even had paying gigs! Listening, playing, and producing music is a great way to blow off steam for me. If I’m ever feeling down or upset; I just start tinkering with my guitar, or singing a random ditty and I usually I perk right up (I’m also attempting to minor in music at New College). The second way I like to spend my time outside of CKI is as a classical fencer. Yep, you read that right, I play with swords. I would tell you more but it tends to be a somewhat lengthy explanation, so if you want to know more about it feel free to ask me, because, you know, that will bring us back to fellowship. MEET ROBERT Hi everyone!!!! My name is Robert Brown and I am so excited to be in the member spotlight. Thank you Diana for picking me!!! I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and my CKI journey. I want to start off by saying that I started in CKI thanks to a member of the USF CKI club, Sam Schneider. My favorite tenant of CKI would have to be the fellowship because of the friends I have made and the time I have spent with them outside of CKI. This would have to be what helps keep me sane when I become stressed beside my Netflix addiction. If you are interested in a show to watch on Netflix I would recommend Parks and Rec: best show in the world. Thanks to my obsession with Park and Rec my favorite service project would have to be when our club goes out to Sweetwater Farms in Tampa, and picks plants and pull invasive species. My current position is President of the USF CKI chapter and Legal Chair on the District Board. As always GO BULLS!!! 9
