It was that time of the year, towards the end of August, when new
friendships were made, new eyes were opened to what CKI really is all
about, and the excitement of getting back into service was in the air! Yep,
it is first meeting season. Here are some success stories on how the first
meetings went for Florida State and University of Central Florida. See how
they did, and maybe steal some ideas for your next club meeting!
Our first meeting it was a huge success we had a full house! So many new people
showed up and it seems like they are here to stay, we even had two people fill out our membership forms and pay their dues!! It was very exciting we did an icebreaker called "I like
to..." where we basically shared things we liked and got to see people with same interests.
Our first volunteering event was this past Saturday at Second Harvest Food Bank where we
helped sort out food that will be given to people in need in the Orlando community. I think
our best recruitment strategy is going out to different UCF events where we can table and
promote CKI as well as having a laptop available for people to sign up and keep them updated about our club. Also giving away CKI promotional items because who doesn't love
free stuff in college?!? Oh and after our first meeting we had a mini social we went out to
