ANKLE STRENGTH Why is it important? This may seem obvious, but you need your ankles for running. If you are covering 5km, 10km, 20km+ your ankles are going to be taking a lot of pressure. Add in some uneven ground, obstacles to climb over that may move, running through water where you cannot see where your foot is landing, and landing from jumps off walls and over obstacles like fire … and this is a recipe for ankle problems!
