Real Estate in Austin Texas appears to be booming. Consistently, people from all over the world are coming
into this area. So, all realtors should be raking up right? Well, let’s take a look.
The division of money earned by white realtors in contrast to black realtors is vastly different. When Bill or
Buffy comes into a brokerage or mortgage lending company, all hands seem to assist him or her to plug into a
circle of continuous business. This does not seem to happen for Tyrone or Tyesha. Could it possibly be that it is
“subconscious” racism? To be fair, most likely it is due to the almighty “referral system” needed to keep
floating the boats.
There seems to be an equalizer in the form of drugs. Some persons who were involved in the sale of narcotics
among other troubles are now moving and shaking as “wholesale agents”. There old friends still follow and
trust them in the realm of real estate. Racism does not seem to have any effect in the matter. However, without
drugs as a connecting factor, the average black agents must create every dollar on their own or have some
family or friend in the immediate sphere of influence that has property to move. Many times, this property is in
distress.
Here are my questions for your consideration:
• What can we do that will make all races comfortable enough to choose to work with each other with no
hesitation and with no subconscious thoughts?
• Why are there very few if any loans given directly to black men or women no matter their business plan
or status?
• Has television propaganda and radio songs influenced Americans to believe that the African American
mind is only defined by being a rapper, an athlete, or a low-level drug dealer?
It is my contention that this country will never fully change to support or pay the debts owed to the African
Americans. That is, not without the help of the Almighty as stated in prophecy. As a result, African Americans,
especially black men must decide how to create their own virtual country within this country economically.
