of the Board, Ann Messenger, Leadership Matters is
unapologetically practical, revolving around seven essential
leadership skills identified by the Institute’s Policy and
Research team and the subject of the IML Conference 2016.
Each of the seven guest-authored chapters of Leadership
Matters’ focuses on a different key leadership practice.
The Cairns Regional Advisory Committee have already
begun planning an action packed 2018. With a series of
focussed professional development events, the committee
will support Cairns based leaders and managers to take
their skillset and career to the next level. Support for
particular initiatives such as the Chartered Manager
professional accreditation and the Mentoring program
will strengthen local businesses, organisations and
individuals alike.
