Business Liaison ASSOCIATION Busy Times and Inspiring Events JCU BREAKFAST Recently, James Cook University, in collaboration with the Business Liaison Association, hosted a breakfast presenting the opportunity to learn more about Sports, Health and Exercise Science Careers of the Future. Approximately 130 students from around the region, reaching as far as Cooktown, travelled to Cairns to listen to guest speakers Kelly Sinclair, JCU Lecturer, Louise Cooper, Managing Director, Health Moves and Laura Fewtrell, third year Sport and Exercise Science Student. The possibilities presented were real world relevant and with the health and fitness industry forging ahead jobs are sure to COMMITTEE present themselves. FOR WASTE ANNUAL BREAKFAST WITH THE LAW REDUCTION Just one week later the Business Liaison Association in conjunction with Vandeleur and Todd Solicitors were holding the annual Breakfast with the Law. Legal Studies Students from Cairns, Tablelands and Cassowary Coast attended to hear Guest Speaker Ms Charlotte Campbell, President, Qld Young Lawyers and Professor Anthony Gray, Business Educators’ Association Queensland Lecturer on the topic “Social Media and the Law”. The guest speakers truly inspired and challenged students and encouraged them to pursue a career in the legal industry.
