JOANNE: This year we are so happy to be staying close to home and taking in a luxury escape with my WA family at Lake Tinaroo. Chances are the days will be filled with some serious Masterchef battles, wakeboarding wars (#prayingforrain), water fights, lychee martinis, Mt Uncle visits, a few games of charades and no doubt a good dose of overindulgence. Im looking forward to sharing the countryside magic of the tablelands with my loved ones! 2.What are your local tips for the best Christmas presents on offer around town? AMANDA: I like to shop local and try and find fun, unique and interesting gifts for my friends and family. I can’t go past the ladies from Makin’ Whoopee Gift Shop on Shields Street. And my other favourite go to is The Green House Shop on Spence Street. I always find everyone on my Christmas list a gift that they LOVE…. And I know that I am supporting my local community. Winning! BELINDA: My biggest tip is “BUY LOCAL”. We have so many fantastic local gifts and gift shops. I often send local food products as gifts, including local hampers from Simply Hampers, and there’s so many gorgeous gifts in Eggplant and Poppy in Oceana Walk.
