Ho! Ho! Ho! With Christmas fast
approaching, and coupled with the
onslaught of the summer heat and humidity,
this season can very quickly turn silly. This
issue, we catch up with three locals to chat
about their plans for the holidays, and what
Santa may have in his sack!

1. What are your plans for Christmas and who are you
favourite people to spend the holidays with?
AMANDA: My husband has renamed the day as “The Big
Lunch”. Each year, we either stay in Cairns or head down
south to family to celebrate the festive season. This year
we are home in the tropics, so I predict we will be spending
the day lazing poolside with our orphaned family members.
We open our home to all our friends, neighbours, extended
family and anyone that needs to be rescued from their own
family’s festivities. There will be plenty of bubbles in hand,
music playing and loads of food to graze on throughout the
day. Just thinking about it makes me smile!
BELINDA: I am heading South to spend time with my family
and friends. We are going to Norfolk Island – beautiful
place to relax.
