Year 1
Art
In Art, Year 1 have been creating their own designs for glasses. They enjoyed decorating them with sequins. The children also had the opportunity to create their own puppets by sewing.
Chicks!
Year 1 went to see the chicks in Nursery. They got to see them when they were eggs. There were cracks in the eggs and the children saw the chicks hatch. The children got to touch the fluffy chicks.
History
In History, Year 1 have been looking at Victorian toys. They learned about how the different toys were made and what materials were used. The children made their own toy thaumatrope using a disc of paper and two pieces of string.
