Nursery
6th July:
Transition Day (Whole School)
Oakwood Primary School will be holding a Transition Day where all years from Nursery to
Year 6 will be having a taster session from 9am – 12 midday. All children on this day will be
interacting with their new classmates and teachers,and taking part in the provided activities
to help begin settling in as preparation for September 2015.
10th July:
Parent’s Consultation Day :NURSERY WILL BE CLOSED ON THIS DAY.
Oakwood Nursery will be holding one whole day of Parents consultations where the key
workers will be talking to their key parents about their child’s progress, development and
achievements throughout this academic year. Parents will be shown their child’s progress
tracker and assessments, and will have the opportunity to discuss matters of query or
concern.
15th July:
End of Term Party
Oakwood Nursery will be hosting an End of Term Party for all nursery children to attend. We
will be celebrating the Eid and Ramadhan Festival where we will be having lots of fun with
many games to play. Finger food contributions are welcome.
16th July:
Taster Day Sessions for New Children
:NURSERY WILL BE CLOSED ON THIS DAY.
Oakwood Nursery will be holding a whole day of Taster Sessions for all parents who would
like their child to start nursery in September 2015. Parents on the day can speak to staff in
regards to any concerns and questions they may have. These parents will also be given a
Welcome Pack and a start date for September 2015. We look forward to welcoming the new
children and families to Oakwood Nursery.
17th July:
Teacher Training Day :NURSERY WILL BE CLOSED ON THIS DAY.
This is also the last day of school for this academic year.
31st Aug:
Teacher Training Day :NURSERY WILL BE CLOSED ON THIS DAY.
1st Sept:
Home Visits for New Children :NURSERY WILL BE CLOSED ON THIS DAY.
2nd Sept:
Nursery Re-opens for New Academic Year 2015-2016

Last Day of School
This will be a normal school day, however, if Eid Ul-Fitr falls on this day, the school will
be closed.
31st Aug:

1st Sept:
School Re-opens for New Academic Year 2015-2016
This first week back will be half day sessions for new Reception children from 8.30am to
12pm, please refer to your Welcome Pack for full details.
