Brookfield Zoo, 8400 31st St.: This summer, discover the mar-
vels of eight-legged critters at Brookfield Zoo’s new temporary
exhibit — Amazing Arachnid — that will explore human-
arachnid cultural connections.
Steps off at 6th and Main streets, and continues to Riverside
Ave. A Memorial service immediately follows the parade at the
Freedom Shrine, next to the police station on Riverside Ave.

Kane County Cougars, 34W002 Cherry Lane: Calling all Scout
groups! Participate in a pregame parade, enjoy a spectacular
fireworks show, postgame run the bases, watch a movie on the
field and sleep under the stars in the Cougars Campground with
a hot breakfast served the next morning. Space is limited and
reservations must be made in advance.
City of Wood Dale, 404 N. Wood Dale Road: The parade will
begin at 11am at Addison Road and Elizabeth Drive and end
at Veteran’s Memorial Park, 269 W. Irving Park Road. At the
conclusion of the parade, a short memorial service will be held
on the grounds of the Veteran’s Memorial.

take on the water. Instructions can be given on dry land before
you try our canoes, kayaks, or pedal boats. Venture out and
enjoy the beauty of Lake Ellyn. $5 per boat for 20 minutes.
American Legion Post 1170, 111 E. Main St. (RT 134): An
Opening Ceremony will be held at the American Legion Post at
9:30am. The parade steps off at Round Lake Park at 10am. At
10:30am, there will be a Round Lake Memorial Ceremony at the
corner of 134 and Cedar The parade concludes at 11am with a
Memorial Service at Round Lake Beach Memorial.

Parade will step off at the corner of Grand Avenue and Genesee
Street and terminate at Veterans Plaza at the southwest corner
of Washington and West Streets. A short ceremony will take
place at the Plaza.
