NYU Black Renaissance Noire Spring 2015 - Page 81

3 4 5 6 7 With the purpose of highlighting the characteristics of each woman and weakening the hierarchic relationship, we established a formal framework for the photographic registry: the same white T-shirt for all, and the same distance, illumination, position and background. Through these parameters, we are trying to show the sameness and the diversity, without external classification. 79 With the project we explore the experiences of these women joined together through a work relationship. We invited, between 2008 and 2010, 100 women between the ages of 19 and 95 from three Latin American countries: Chile, Colombia and Argentina. We invited the participants to break with their work routine, taking them out of the workspace, in pairs, for photographic sessions, questionnaires they answered, and group lunches, to share their experiences.
