A village of art and excitement
Glassblowers , designers , artists and other creative professionals have settled in today ’ s glass village . The cradle of hot glass , the hot shop , is still in the same place it started work in more than 200 years ago . The studios in the historic buildings remind us of the long arts and crafts tradition that has been continuously maintained in the village . Future professionals study at the Nuutajärvi Glass School . They have a natural bond with the craftspeople already working in the Glass Village .
