The sounds of silence
There are several forest paths which start in the glass village on which you can experience the refreshing silence of the forest . While hiking , you can meet a white-tailed deer , which , when seeing you , raises its white tail and disappears into the forest shadow . You will always get something from nature , as berry picking , mushroom gathering and fishing can be enjoyed freely in Finland and are a popular pastime during the summer . On the village beach you can take a dip in the lake or take a boat trip . In the winter , the lakes freeze over and trees receive a beautiful veil of snow .
