Mom’s
Tip
Jake adores a particular soft teddy that he
got as a baby, and now won’t sleep without
it. I’m terrified we’ll lose it, so I’ve picked up

Your baby is beginning to understand
cause and effect, and enjoys watching
you scramble around picking up her
toys as she flings them off her high

just tie them to the side of her chair.
As she gets older, your little darling is
also becoming more affectionate and
will hug you and often rub her head
or face tight in to you.
Book corner
Read and re-read the same few
stories to your little one over and
over – it is great for her language
and cognitive development. Add
in some fun with touch-and-feel
books, like Goodnight Buster,
or a lift-the-flap style found in
any of the Where’s Spot series.

Play time!
You will have noticed that your

a bit more entertaining than

game she’ll love, as she can
knock them down and fetch
them back again. You’ll also
find that noise-making is top
of her list of fun things to
do, so try letting her loose
with a wooden spoon and
some plastic
