2018 Children's Hospital of Colorado Volunteer Nurses Roundup River Ranch Roundup River Ranch is a year-round ranch located in Gypsum, Colorado that enriches the lives of children with serious illnesses and their families. The camp offers free, medically-supported activities and programs that provide unforgettable opportunities to discover joy, develop friendships, and build confidence. Children’s Hospital Colorado has been involved since the beginning of Roundup River Ranch as a Founding Hospital Partner in 2006, providing incredible support including donations of medications and medical supplies, and referral of campers. What’s more, the most valuable support comes from the staff of Children’s Hospital Colorado. Since 2011 our nurses and NP students have volunteered their time to support their patients at camp. We are honored to recognize the 32 nurses who volunteered as Cabin Nurses in 2018. Children’s Hospital Colorado nurses are so much more than generous team members; they are the image of our mission and vision in the lives of these young, adventurous campers. There is no cost for campers to attend Roundup River Ranch, and their volunteers are truly what make it all possible. Did you know our volunteers save Children’s Hospital Colorado over $160,000 per session? That accounts for many priceless life-changing experiences.
