“You’ve been a big part of
our journey…I don’t think I could’ve done it without you.”
New mom, Rosa Flores, talks with her Nurse-Family Partnership nurse Andrea Ramon about her journey becoming a new mom – overcoming the many challenges (such as breastfeeding and being a working mom) and the pure love and joy of growing with her daughter. During pregnancy, she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and with her nurse’s support Rosa was able to control her sugar with her diet. Her doctor was proud of her – one of her doctor’s only patients to not have to take medication. Her 15-month old daughter, Inez, can also be heard laughing and talking.
