April Harley joined the Nurse-Family Partnership National Service office as the North Carolina executive director in April. For the past four years, Harley was the principal consultant of The Harley Firm, a firm she founded to build donor relations and financially-grow mission-driven organizations in North Carolina. She has over nine years of high-level fundraising experience across two presidential campaigns where she raised $15 million by leading major donor strategy, managing high-profile fundraising events and building networks of community stakeholders.
Harley also serves on the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte and on the community advisory board for her local Nurse-Family Partnership program at Care Ring. Harley holds a Bachelor of Arts in english from Howard University, where she graduated magna cum laude. Based in Charlotte, Harley will oversee the Nurse-Family Partnership program across 25 counties throughout the state.

In April, Chris Bishop was promoted to South Carolina executive director at the Nurse-Family Partnership National Service Office. For the past six years, Bishop has served as state director of business development for both South Carolina and North Carolina, and also previously served as business developer for two additional states – Virginia and West Virginia. In addition to launching the nation’s first Pay for Success project in South Carolina, his leadership has led to opening nine new Nurse-Family Partnership programs. Prior to joining Nurse-Family Partnership in 2011, Bishop spent 16 years working for human service organizations in North Carolina and Virginia to address better public housing, education and health, among other community needs.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology and minor in Spanish language from Guilford College. In June 2017, he will graduate from Villanova University with a Master of Public Administration. Bishop will continue to lead the nation’s first Pay for Success project to improve maternal and child health, and oversee the Nurse-Family Partnership program across 32 counties throughout the state.
