Anjali Srinivasan - Certamen Chair

What does your position do? I'm in charge of creating a portion of the Certamen questions that will be asked at both Ludi and at SCRAM. Also, during SCRAM, I will be in charge of organizing all of Open Certamen, including creating teams and assigning rooms to each of those teams.

Why did you choose to join SCRAM board? After going to SCRAM for three years, I was elated when I found out that we were hosting this year. I wouldn't have missed the opportunity for anything!

What are you looking forward to the most this SCRAM? I'm looking forward to helping everyone else to have as memorable of a SCRAM as they possibly can. I am looking forward to Certamen a lot; good luck to everyone competing!

Maggie Chang - Treasurer

What does your position do? I oversee all finances and expenses including registration of other chapters and any materials purchased

What do you hope SCRAM would be like for the SoCal JCLers? I know that I can say this for the whole board - we definitely hope to make this year's SCRAM the best possible. I hope that SCRAM would be a success with every JCLer leaving WHS think that they had a fun SCRAM experience.

James Tseng - Academics Chair

What does your position do? I take the responsibility of writing and compiling tests, as well as the logistics for distribution and administering the Academic Testing during SCRAM.

Why did you choose to join SCRAM board? I wanted to become part of the behind-the-scenes of these great JCL events, having been to so many SCRAMs and State Conventions. Working with the Certamen officer, we want to make sure these aspects, testing and Certamen, although less people participate, a smooth and enjoyable experience in contrast to some JCL Certamen events that we have attended.

Alyssa Barrios and Justine Sato- Art Directors

What does your position do? Our position’s job is to make SCRAM look aesthetically pleasing. We make all of the signs and decorations that go up throughout the campus.

What makes this SCRAM different from the previous SCRAMs? Our SCRAM is going to be set apart from others in its sense of belonging. Our chapter is very close, and i believe that we will able to bring that into this SCRAM, emphasizing the brotherhood that embodies JCL among all its members

Dana Witkin - Food Coordinator

What does your position do? I'm in charge of getting everything together for the lunch that will be served at SCRAM and I am also responsible for organizing the snack bar that Woodbridge will be running throughout the day.

What food will be available? I'm working on the lists of all the food and drinks that will be sold at our snack bar throughout the day. I'm making sure to include a wide variety and have lots of things teenagers like as well as things that will keep them full throughout a full day of activities like Sour Patch Kids and Cup Noodles. For the board overall I'm working with the other positions on the schedule of events for the day and on all the different activities we're having to make them the best they can be.

Timothy Swanson - Awards Coordinator

What does your position do? I am in charge of figuring out the number of awards necessary for SCRAM, as well as designing, ordering and organizing them.

Why did you choose to join SCRAM board? I attended last year's state convention for JCL and I had such a fantastic experience that I decided I wanted to be a part of something similar to that. Once it was announced that I was able to have a chance to contribute to SCRAM I realized this was the opportunity I was waiting for.

What are you looking forward to the most this SCRAM? Doing my job. I imagine it's going to be incredibly fun to rush around the campus, taking pictures and figuring out what awards go to whom. I'm also looking forward to meeting people from around the area who are also in JCL. Making new acquaintances is one of the main things I'm shooting for.
