The Scoop on SCRAM: Woodbridge JCL's CoCo Lauren Chong asks the questions we all have.
Wendy Nawa - CAJCL Southern Representative
What does your position do? I'm in charge of running, planning, and hosting SCRAM!
What makes this SCRAM different from the past SCRAMs? The events! This year, we are planning to introduce several new activities such as modo saltate (Just Dance), Mini Golf, and the first-ever SCRAM Lip Dub competition!
What are you looking forward to the most this SCRAM? Being able to see people smiling and having fun with their friends, because that is my purpose, and what I set out to do! (also get bragging rights for hosting the best SCRAM perhaps?)
Jonah Noh - Logistics Officer
What does your position do? I handle communication between all of the officers, as well as work closely with the Southern Representative (Wendy!) to fill in the miscellaneous necessary jobs that have yet to be completed.
Why did you choose to join SCRAM board? I chose to join SCRAM board because the JCL community has given me the opportunity to bond with my Latin family at Woodbridge. I've met some of my best friends through JCL, and as a result, I wanted to plan a great SCRAM so that other JCLers could get closer with their Latin mates as well.
Any final thoughts? I am most looking forward to capture the flag this SCRAM because it's always been a favorite of mine, ever since elementary school #nostalgia.
Emily Ward - Registration Chair
What does your position do? I handle the registration of delegates for SCRAM, as well for certain events and activities that happen throughout the day of SCRAM.
What makes this SCRAM different from the past SCRAMs? This SCRAM is unique compared to past SCRAMs because of our new option to participate in certain events that last the entirety of SCRAM. So even if you're occupied with a different event at a certain time, some will stay open for you to try out later!
Arham Aijaz and Shira Bleiden - Athletics Commissioners
What does your position do?
We are in charge of setting up athletic events for you all to enjoy :)
What kinds of athletic events will be available? Shira and I are planning many things. We are planning to do many sports favorites such and capture the flag, basketball, dodge ball and much more! Additionally, we are trying something new this year! We are trying to set up a mini-golf event. Albeit, this is completely tentative and we hope that it turns out great. We may also consider to modify dodgeball in that there could be an Advisors VS. Students game. These are some of the many things we are planning for SCRAM. Hope to see you there for these!
What are you looking forward to the most this SCRAM? I am most looking forward to the events and just meeting new people this SCRAM. Also, I'd love to see mini-golf in action and would love to watch students compete against their sponsors/advisers. Lastly, we can't forget about the Latin memes.
