SCRAM 2018

On December 1, 2018, Woodbridge High School will have the amazing opportunity to host the annual Southern California Regional Amici Madness (SCRAM)!

For those of you who have never experienced this event, it is a smaller scale version of State Convention, with many fun and exciting activities. For one day, students from all over Southern California will be able to attend Woodbridge High School, and participate in athletic competitions, academic testing, make art, as well as spend a day with their fellow amici, and hopefully meet new ones too!

Since June, my board and I have been working tirelessly in order to host the best SCRAM that CAJCL has seen yet, and I hope that you will seize the opportunity to be able to attend!

This year, we have decided to add one more academic test, history, as well as a few new activities for you to enjoy. Some of the new activities include an adventure of the 12 labors, as you and your putter experience Hercules’ triumphs as you progress through each hole, a nap room after lunch as you digest your meal or charge your phone, and all day, there will be modo saltate (Just Dance) playing in the small gym for you to dance your heart away, or if you have nothing else that peaks your interest!

Additionally, we would like to announce the first ever SCRAM Lip Dub Competition, that includes chapters attending SCRAM to film a lip dub of their own and submit it into a competition, where the winning video will be shown at Closing Ceremony.

Along with these new additions will be some events that have been put on annually, for example, Roman Speed Dating which Woodbridge High School started a couple years ago, a dodgeball tournament, impromptu art, and certamen. Registration packets will be sent out to your teachers soon, and I look forward to seeing all of your faces at SCRAM!

Illic vos videbo,

Wendy Nawa

Southern Representative
