LUDI

2018

Ludi Novembres is almost two months away, yet we at St. Ignatius are already well into the planning process. Our weekly officer meetings have consisted of diligent preparation and deliberation as we work on making sure that Ludi will be a roaring success.

This year’s theme is apes non sunt solitaria natura, “Bees are not of a solitary nature,” and it’s a day that will be buzzing w ith activity! We have activities set up for Ludi that are perfect for lovers of the classics, sports extraordinaires, and anyone looking to have fun!

Among our ludi games are jumpy structures, a Roman rap battle, jellybean mosaics, kickball, casual field activities, and many others. For the sports lovers attending Ludi Novembres, we will be offering two competitive sports: ultimate frisbee and basketball, both of which award medals to the winners. Open certamen and required testing sessions are also available for delegates seeking out an academic challenge.

Some other fun additions that we have included in our schedule are mythology-themed face painting and Amici Bingo, in which the goal is to make as many friends as possible!

Our team of Latin students is working incredibly hard to make Ludi Novembres 2018 a memorable experience, so please join in the classical festivities on November 10th at St. Ignatius College Preparatory.

N.B. At this time, all JCLers planning to attend should be reading and filling out their registration packets, due back on October 22.

Ex animo,
