ABOUT ME
I am Nuno Castanheira, born in Portugal in 1984.
My academic life started when I joined the Alves Martins School in Viseu to obtain a degree in
Product & Graphic Design. In 2002, I attended the Faculty of Architecture of Lisbon to pursue a
degree in Architecture and Urban planning. During my studies I participated in the Erasmus
program at the Politecnico di Milano in Italy.

Architecture contributes to improve the quality of life by creating simple ideas that meet
people's basic needs. Finding the right volume of and object is the starting point of a wide range
of conceptual opportunities which enables a future materialization of a meaningful creation
with a purpose in time and space.
Irrespective of a handmade or industrial production, an object must have a strong concept. The
process requires both creativity and tenacity from a designer. It is important to implement
shapes and volumes that will enhance the style and environment without compromising its
function.
