s the fastest growing region in the U.S., North
Texas is quickly becoming a major global
marketplace. But you may ask yourself why?
We’re not on a seaport, but instead, the air is our
ocean with Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
growing quickly in cargo, commercial and international destinations. In addition, five Class 1 intermodal
complexes served by freight rail and a robust – and still
expanding – network of interstate highways connect
businesses with consumers across the nation.
International companies are flocking to the DallasFort Worth region, and with these companies comes
their families, making our region of 6.7 million people
one of the most diverse in the country. If you walk the
halls of one of our local high schools, you may hear more
than 50 languages spoken. This diversity of our citizens
fuels the variety and innovation of our economy.
