Driving tourism growth in rural and regional NSW is one of the NSW Government ’ s leading priorities and plays an important role in our State ’ s overnight visitor economy .

Caravan and camping holidays appeal to travellers of all ages and demographics , from young families wanting a holiday park experience with a full suite of facilities , to retirees exploring the country and enjoying the freedom of travel in their own caravan or luxury motorhome .
Australians have a great tradition of caravan and camping holidays and NSW leads the way . In the year ended March 2017 , NSW welcomed 3.9 million domestic caravan and camping visitors who contributed $ 2.9 billion to the State ’ s economy .
We will continue to work closely with the Caravan and Camping Industry Association to attract more visitors to Australia ’ s premier tourism and events State to help the NSW Government achieve its goal of doubling overnight expenditure by 2020 .
