Staff Announcements CONGRATULATIONS, BECCA! CELEBRATING 10 YEARS WITH NSSRA In November Recreation Manager Becca Zajler will mark 10 years of service with NSSRA! There is hardly an area Becca hasn’t touched (and made significantly better) during her time at NSSRA. She started as our Recreation Specialist for Youth Programs and now is NSSRA’s Recreation Manager for ELA, Gator Athletics, Trips and Interns. Somewhere in that timeline she also took a turn overseeing Transportation and Adaptive Sports, so yes, she has done it ALL and we’re absolutely convinced that there’s nothing she can’t do. Becca's zest for life is infectious. She celebrates everything, big and small, and brings so much joy to those around her. She is kind, energetic, the consummate professional, the ultimate cheerleader for participants, staff and friends (seriously, if you haven’t met Becca’s enthusiasm, you don’t actually know enthusiasm), but more than anything, Becca is heartfelt. She leads with heart, manages with heart, serves with heart and advocates for every single participant with wholehearted dedication and expertise. To that point, here are just a few comments from participants who have known Becca over the years: “I had fun hanging out with her at the ELA Thanksgiving Feast. She’s a superhero person!” – John “One of my favorite memories is going to Maine with her. She was also a great coach for my Gator softball team. I feel happy when she comes to hang out at ELA.” – Jack "Becca is a nice lady. I like doing special events with her.” - Jay We couldn’t agree more. Thank you, Becca, for your dedication to #teamnssra. We wouldn’t want to be us without you! Meet Morgan Baiardo Congratulations to Morgan Baiardo on her new position as Human Resources Coordinator! Morgan has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Recreation & Park Administration from Illinois State University. She most recently worked for the Glenview Park District for 6 years as its Human Resource Coordinator. Morgan has jumped right into the world of Human Resources at NSSRA, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her on board! Congratulations, George Pappas Congratulations to George Pappas on his promotion to Superintendent of Finance and Human Resources! A graduate of Northern Illinois University with a MAS degree (Master of Accounting Science, we had to look it up too!), George has an extensive background in accounting, specifically for local government entities. George has been with #teamnssra for over 2 years as Finance Coordinator, and we are excited to have him in this new role! 18 Winter 2020 Program Guide • Celebrating 50 Years!
