The sports gala is designed to bring
students and soldiers together in
friendly, positive atmosphere where
they can still enjoy fi erce competition
The games culminate with the Chanc

Collectively, the events are known
as the Battle of the Icons.
The competition started in 2001 with
union as the curtain raiser to the Briti
Lions versus the Queensland Presiden
The game was a success and the
format has grown ever since.
Extra sports have been added to
the schedule including womens
rugby, mens basketball, womens
netball, mens and womens soccer and
mens and womens Aussie rules.
