CHAP Steve Cloudsdale and CHAP (AAC) Laurie Timms who is based in Cairns
in Karratha, and during that posting, was also the
Honorary Chaplain for the WA Police Force there.
And he has been a relief prison chaplain
in Tasmania, his home State.
Townsville represents a new opportunity,
mostly to help and to infl uence the new
generations coming through in cadets.
While the couple is keen to come North, they might need
a hand getting settled, specifi cally in the area of housing.
“It would be ideal if somebody from Townsville wanted 12
months in Tasmania and we could house-swap,” Steve said.
“But, really, anybody deploying who wants
good house-sitters could rely on us.
“Hopefully, something will come up.”
He is due to march in early next year, but only if
his CRA is extended before New Year’s Eve.
