SGT Jaxon’s Excellent Adventure
Every young pilot needs to
learn to fl y fi rst, so it was into
the CH47 Chinook Simulator
to get behind the controls
where he fl ew a “mission”
over the CBD in Brisbane.
Then he strapped in for an
adrenalin pumping whirl around
Townsville in an MRH-90.
Little wonder that the last we
saw of Jaxon was of the little
warrior asleep in his dad’s
arms dreaming of victory.
Mel said the experience would
stay with Jaxon for many years.
She thanked everybody involved,
especially MAJ Sarah Molloy
and WO1 Shane Andrews 3Bde
who organised the activities.
“I am sure all the boys now want
to join the Army, too,” she said.
