Materials NPW 2017 efforts did not lack in materials designed to educate and inspire. Digital and printed items alike helped promote and enhance the event for both online attendees and in-person participants. PREVENTION WORKS 23 SAMHSA’s Promotional Efforts Save-the-date postcards, emails, flyers, and social media graphics helped SAMHSA get the word out, while stickers, web banners, and document templates were created to publicize activities that continue throughout the year. Total subscribers Once the event grew closer, the team focused our efforts on materials to support the Kick-off Event, including USB wristbands, lobby posters and banners, tablecloths, and a program for the event. Our show-stopping PowerPoint presentation, podium signage, and pull-up banners helped bring the event stage to life. 3,397 NPW Listserv Information and Metrics Total number of mailings 890 Total unique opens (all mailings) 848 Total unique click-throughs (all mailings) NPW’s “Prevention Works” email distribution list delivers timely prevention information and tools directly to people in the field, including resources for each of the daily NPW themes, tips for planning an NPW event, and the latest news about NPW webinars and SAMHSA funding opportunities. This year, “Prevention Works” reached thousands of people in the days and weeks leading up to NPW, sharing content and suggestions for getting involved. SAMHSA’s efforts to energize communities and inspire them to participate in NPW 2017 included a blog post written by Frances M. Harding, Director of CSAP. The post shared information about the NPW daily themes, webinar series, social media challenge, materials and resources, promotional videos, and more! Promotional Video The NPW 2017 promotional video featured representatives from the health care community, small-business owners, teachers, and members of law enforcement, among others, and showcased th e important role they play in helping their communities “Make Each Day Count.” This year’s promo video was viewed nearly 2,000 times on SAMHSA’s YouTube channel.
