Vision & Voice WHY IS VISION CANADA SUCH AN IMPORTANT INDUSTRY EVENT? Vision Canada is not just about innovation in the optical industry. It is also not simply about collecting credits to meet minimum requirements to maintain our professional status. It's really about best practices! This event is the core or foundation of the profession. It weaves excellence into our daily activities... it motivates opticians to realize their true potential. It unlocks comradery and a sense of community. The excitement and passion generated is our reward here at the OAC. We have an opportunity to present our unique products and services live to the ECPs and opticians. It’s critical to our business to be able to talk with them in person and answer questions. Robert Dalton, Executive Director Opticians Association of Canada I like to support opticianry. This event is Grant Larsen, President valuable because there are employers here Digital ECP that we can talk to about our services as well as the opticians who are job seekers. We can help them connect with those opportunities. Trudi Charest, President Jobs4ECPs In this industry it’s important to try new things and challenge yourself. These are challenging times and this event offers a new look at ways to adapt. It stimulates creativity and I always go back home feeling energized. Lorne Kashin, Executive Director Ontario Opticians Association 8 Optical Prism | November - December 2015 "I found the student event on Friday evening to be especially motivating. We announced our new 2015 Students of Vision Scholarship Program with the OAC that night, and afterward there was a lot of talk among the students as they brainstormed solutions and ideas to our 'Millennial Challenge.'"
