Win Coll Soc Events midOctober 2014 to April 2015
OW Bristol & Bath Dinner: Held on
Friday 31st October 2014. Immaculately
hosted by George Fellowes, 22 stalwarts
from the West of England were entertained
to an excellent dinner at the Bath Spa
Hotel. The 2015 Dinner will be at the
Merchant Venturers Hall, Bristol, on 23rd
October with the Warden as guest speaker.
OW Annual Reception: On 13th
November, 113 attended the OW Annual
Reception at the Royal College of
Surgeons: of these the younger and, it was
grudgingly agreed by their elders, the
better-looking half then moved downstairs
seamlessly to the 25-45s dinner.
The Director of Win Coll Soc saluted AR
Longley (C, 1939-43) as Sen Man,
congratulating him on at least his tenth
consecutive appearance at the Annual
Reception – now there’s an example to
all! The Warden then enlightened the
assembled company about the condition
of the School.
