A Message From Our Principal

Dear Notre Dame Catholic Community:

As we wrap up the 2015-2016 school year, there is much to reflect on and be grateful for. Our school community shared in the tremendous success of our students in the classroom, on the field, and in the fine arts. We had many playoff runs in a number of sports, including a trip to the State Title Game in football and a State Championship for our Girls Doubles in Tennis. The Notre Dame Catholic School One-Act Play competed at the State level and our Choir and Band members scored multiple “One”s in competition. Academically, we had essay contest winners, Duke Scholars, and a National Merit Commendation amongst a number of other accolades. To close the year, we graduated 17 students and sent them off to various universities including Trinity University, the University of Dallas, and the US Military Academy at West Point. Also, let us never forget that all of this was accomplished in the context of a Catholic school community which seeks to form all students as disciples of Christ on a daily basis. There is quite a bit for all members of the Notre Dame Catholic School community to feel proud of.

As we look forward to the next school year, we anticipate continuing to grow in our total enrollment, welcoming more students and families into the Notre Dame community. We anticipate continuing to grow in excellence by introducing new academic programs such as Latin roots for elementary students and by always striving to help every child to grow in both wisdom and virtue. We also anticipate continuing to grow in our love of God and neighbor as we seek to help each other; students, parents, faculty, and staff; recognize and pursue the fullness of humanity which is found in unity with Jesus Christ.

Ever moving forward towards a brighter future, we ask that you join us in continuing to pray for our Bishop, our priests, our faculty and staff, our current families and alumni, and for the continued success of Notre Dame Catholic School. Warmest Regards

Michael W Edghill, MA
