How do you see the relationship between emotional and intellectual perception of your work? In particular, how much do you consider the immersive nature of the viewing experience?

I don’t compromise any of the perceptions in my work as they’re equally as important. Before starting a work I think deeply into it for weeks and I let my imagination go wild in order to find the ideal way for the consumer to both work his mind to figure out the concept and at the same time since a lot of my work feature the struggles I’ve been through I want them to be emotionally inloved while looking at the work. Any reaction from the consumer is good enough for me, and sometimes no reaction at all can mean a lot also I think it comes down to whether the consumer is willing to have a conversation about the issue the work is presenting or not.

Thanks a lot for your time and for sharing your thoughts, Amer. Finally, would you like to tell us readers something about your future projects? How do you see your work evolving?

Thank you NotRandomArt for this opportunity, I think I will continue to do what I do now in order to reach larger audience outside Oman or Middle east. I try to keep up the peace and look up to established artists who inspire me and keep me going .I can see in near future a huge support and awareness from different people in Oman making conscious effort to get into the art scene , so I’m optimistic about my future and the future of all artists in Oman.

I share my art mainly on Instagram

www.instagram.com/amurvisuals as it’s my favorite platform to post my work.
