The Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance was formed to support the many aerospace organizations throughout the Northwest .

We have previously visited British Columbia , the home of Aerospace Industries Association of Canada Pacific , and stopped in Portland . Now , let ’ s turn our gaze to the Inland Empire , where the Inland Northwest Aerospace Consortium ( INWAC ), serves the regional alliance of aerospace manufacturers located along the I-90 aerospace corridor from Central Washington to Central Montana .
The heart of Central Washington , located in the bountiful Yakima Valley , known for its hops , wineries and apple orchards , also accommodates a variety of aerospace companies manufacturing flight landing gear and aircraft interiors for large OEM ’ s . Here ’ s the trick — the region ’ s aviation companies have lower land , electricity , labor and tax costs than Seattle and larger cities , netting 10-20 percent lower operating costs . There ’ s also a variety of tax incentives which can help expanding aerospace firms reduce operating costs and train key employees .
