E ven with all these changes, Novation strives to excel at the basics while expanding their specialties. Plating and anodize pro- cesses are the core of Novation’s operations and represent much of their business. While they do provide many services to other industries, aerospace remains a special focus for Novation; their anodize and chemical conversion processes support a wide range of aerospace manufacturing needs. Their plating process capabilities include nickel, zinc, brite tin, black oxide, phosphating, electro-polish, and chemical brite dip along with passivation on stainless steel alloys. With regard to nickel plating, Novation offers sulfamate nickel, brite nickel and many processes for electroless nickel. For most processes, they provide barrel as well as rack plating. Bake-off ovens are used for Many parts processed by Novation require multiple process steps such as non-destructive testing, chemfilm, anodize, paints and primers. hydrogen embrittlement and stress relieving in the plating process, when applicable.
