O n your next flight, let your seatmate know about the Spokane legacy sur- rounding you on the aircraft. Inside an aircraft there are hundreds of products from many vendors from Washington State – Multifab in Spokane Valley man- ufactures a good number of them. Whether sitting comfortably in first class, or squeezed into coach class on a Boeing 737, Multifab products are all around. The thermoformed seat backs in gray or off-white, with netted magazine holders and tray tables, are the first point of contact for Multifab products. The seat backs, very familiar to our knees, are lightweight pressure-formed thermo- plastics made to specifications outlined by the airline. The leather-clad seat components on many aircraft are sewn by qualified industrial seamstresses in Multifab’s Spokane Valley factory. 34 NORTHWEST AEROSPACE NEWS
