H
e graduated from Washington
State University and immediately
signed up for the Master of Busi-
ness Administration (MBA) pro-
gram. After completing his MBA,
Alvarado went to work at Berg
Companies and started the process
of becoming a certified public ac-
countant, studying during nights and
weekends. Within a few years of his
career, he got involved with other
entrepreneurs, Andy Barrett and John
Swallow, to develop a philanthrop-
ic sports complex on the Rathdrum
Prairie because they believed in youth
sports playing an important role in
character development and work ethic.
Swallow and Alvarado then began
working on the development of other
projects including McAllister Technical
Services. In 2015, Alvarado and Swal-
low partnered with Ken Tyler (a family
friend of Swallow), who Alvarado de-
scribes as an “Inventor, dreamer and for-
ward thinker.” Ken invented the concept
of CF3D™, but didn’t yet have a granted
patent, a team or a business plan.
Swallow, Alvarado and Tyler recognized
that if they could secure patents around
this technology while building a business
plan around CF3D™, they could revolu-
tionize manufacturing with this business.
