S . Senate Committee on Finance with oversight on international trade , labor and unemployment , and homeland security , among others .
U . S . Senator Patty Murray ( D-WA ) is now Chairman of the U . S . Senate Committee on Health , Education , Labor , and Pensions . U . S . Senator Maria Cantwell ( D-WA ) is now Chairman of the U . S . Senate Committee on Commerce , Science , and Transportation , overseeing interstate commerce , civil aviation , nonmilitary aeronautical and space sciences , and science , engineering , and technology research and development , among others .
