T
he Aerospace Corridor began their
partnership with organizations in neighboring
Spokane and Coeur d’Alene. After the first
couple of years of beneficial collaboration and
honing the mission and purpose of the organi-
zation, the Corridor is expanding into Montana
and Central Washington.
The Aerospace Corridor encompasses three
states, hundreds of businesses — some even
competitors — a remarkable workforce,
educators and the educated, politicians and
public servants, all working together along a
500-mile stretch of impressive and occasional-
ly desolate highway. I’ve travelled that stretch
dozens of times, knowing my destination, but
occasionally wondering if it may be a road to
nowhere. Desolate now and then, but I will
never make the mistake of thinking it’s a road
without purpose.
