Toth , a member of the Aerospace Futures Alliance , and a recent appointee to the Choose Washington New Middle-market Airplane ( NMA ) Council , supports that this is another driving force behind the I-90 Aerospace Corridor . The Choose Washington NMA Council was formed by Governor Jay Inslee in December 2017 to build a competitive argument to entice Boeing to keep the production of their forthcoming NMA in Washington State .
Gynii Gilliam of the CdAEDC says the organization has been working diligently to build economic modeling that will aid in telling a story that outlines how integral the Inland Northwest is in the aerospace and aeronautics supply chain . While this sounds like simply doing a head count and tallying the numbers , the challenge is to ensure that every company is counted , even those that are not particularly known as an aerospace supplier , and those that may just currently be breaking into aerospace supply .
“ We are passionate about growing our region ’ s aerospace industry by bringing in new innovative businesses , helping existing supply companies grow their offerings and handle increased demand , and raising overall awareness on a national level ,” says Gilliam .
