Paul Lawther Head of OneCom NI Paul is a driven and dynamic leader with a determination to succeed. For such a young man he has a formidable track record of success in senior management and there are few people in the technology/telecoms sectors who don’t know him. Now at OneCom, Paul has been given the responsibility and autonomy to develop a Northern Ireland subsidiary of the UK’s largest independent telecoms provider. Paul has risen to the challenge, recruiting a dedicated and professional team in his own image and leading them to exceptional first year results. Paul leads from the front and works tirelessly to provide clients and colleagues the support that they require to achieve their own individual objectives and, in doing so, creating effective collaborative partnerships. It speaks volumes for Paul’s efforts that OneCom are already seen as an established player in Northern Ireland winning a number of flagship clients as quickly as they have. Gareth Loye M&M Contrcators, CEO M&M Contractors is a firm providing turnkey electrical and telecommunication infrastructures. After completing a degree in Construction, Engineering and Management, Gareth joined the family business in 2003. After nearly a decade climbing the ranks, 2012 saw Gareth promoted to CEO. Under his leadership, M&M Contractors has successfully evolved from a regional specialist contractor to an international principal contractor, with operations spanning the UK, RoI, USA, Canada and mainland Europe. Gareth’s latest venture saw him acquire failing firm Mascott Construction in 2016 and incorporate it into the M&M group, in turn enabling M&M to boast the most comprehensive service portfolio in the industry for a firm under £100m. @Mascott_NI Gareth McAlister Nimbus, Managing Director With the aim of bringing Corporate Technology to Small Businesses, in 2010 Gareth McAlister turned his back on a successful career with one of the world’s leading IT companies to set up his own IT services business, Nimbus. In eight years Gareth has went from a sole trader with a handful of local businesses, working from his parents’ attic, to a team of 12 with a large portfolio of customers throughout NI, GB & ROI, operating from his own premises at Heron Wharf, Belfast. Career highlights have included providing IT support to the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards when they were in Belfast in 2015 and receiving outstanding feedback from International Tier 1 Banks on Nimbus supported networks. Gareth has built a team which prides itself on providing innovative IT solutions for SMEs. @nimbus_cs Ryan McCavigan Interface, Product Development Manager Ryan McCavigan has been an employee of Interface for over 12 years. He has moved from a position on the factory floor to New Product Development Manager in 2014. In this role, Ryan is taking and shaping decisions which have a direct impact upon the organisation. He has been responsible for the development of over 100 products, including ‘Composure’ – Interface’s biggest selling product in every global market that the company operates in. Ryan has a drive to innovate, challenge and question existing procedures and work as part of a global team to deliver creative and efficient solutions. Ryan has been afforded enormous opportunities by Interface to work internationally and at the highest levels of the company.
