PUBLIC SAFETY
Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office …
Protecting for Over 50 Years
A
safer community is the product
of an engaged community – with
neighbors, businesses, leaders, and
public safety agencies working together.
In Vadnais Heights, law enforcement
services have been provided by
the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office
for over 50 years under a contract
agreement shared with six neighboring
communities: Arden Hills, Falcon
Heights, Little Canada, North Oaks,
Shoreview, and White Bear Township.
Services are provided by Deputy Sheriffs
to the 78,000-plus residents of the area.
Contracting allows cities to select
law enforcement services that best
meet their needs. The Sheriff’s Office
then provides those services for the
cost incurred. The seven cities have
chosen a lean response model. The
Sheriff’s Public Safety Services Division
is responsible for providing patrol,
investigative, waterway, and community
services, and is the contract service
provider.
